Who knew that Fort Worth’s celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall riots in NYC would turn into a historical re-enactment that had too little history and way, way too much reality?

The best summation – including victories and setbacks — that I’ve read of the status of the LGBT civil rights movement in 2009 came from the reliably observant Mr. Frank Rich in yesterday’s Sunday “NYT” edition. He is one of a very few prominent hetero pundits willing to write regularly about gay issues, and he often states the case as well as any gay person could.
