Texas Ballet Theater begins its popular Nutcracker series at Bass Performance Hall on Friday and will continue on weekends through December 24. The company just completed a two-week run of the holiday classic at the new Winspear Opera House in Dallas, where an on-stage reception opening night celebrated artistic director Ben Stevenson’s 40th year of directing ballet.

BIG_TICKET_1The lavish production features a cast of more than 150 dancers and showcases all of TBT’s principal dancers in rotating appearances. The Sugar Plum Fairy will be danced by Leticia Oliveira, Carolyn Judson, Lisa Kaczmarek, Katelyn Clenaghan, Jennifer Hooper, and Lainey Logan. Lucas Priolo, Eddy Tovar, Carl Coomer, Lonnie Weeks, and Alexander Kotelenets will alternate in the role of the Nutcracker Prince.
