Damn, this city’s got talent.

Yet another interesting art show is set to begin at the Fort Worth Worth Community Arts Center in the coming days.

Preservation Is The Art Of The City‘s 8th Annual Art Show & Sale begins on Friday and runs through Sept. 25. This is a great opportunity to get some original works by some of the city’s best artists.

Proceeds benefit the Historic Fort Worth in its attempt to preserve Fort Worth’s historic identity.

If you’re interested in meeting the artists involved, ticket information for a reception is here.

On Saturday, local filmmaker and artist Tom Huckabee’s exhibit will be featured at the arts center as well.

Keep these shows, exhibits and sales coming — good art kicks ass.

The view in this painting has changed drastically since it was made last February, after the big snow. The side of the building is now covered by a fancy awning above the 8.0 Bar patio.
