Tomorrow (Saturday Sept 11) Arts Fifth Avenue will celebrate nine years of greatness as a community arts center/neighborhood performance venue/jazz joint/place to learn to tap dance and drum. From 2-6pm, free intro classes to tap, salsa, theater improv, yoga, and voice will be conducted. At 6pm, nine birthday cakes will be cut before an evening of performances by Eddie Dunlap & Mondo Drummers, The Hard Soles Tap Ensemble, opera singer Rachel Shirk, jazz and blues guitarist Pat Trimble, and more. Donations are accepted and greatly appreciated, and with the non-profit and indispensable A5A, the rule of thumb isn’t “pay what you can,” but “pay what you should.”
