That’s right, the Rangers deserve to be slapped on the back for a job well done.

Great season guys.

WHAT'D HE SAY?

Besides, beating the New York Yankees in the American League Championship Series and watching A-Rod strike out to end the final game in the Ballpark in Arlington was as good as winning the World Series.

Scenes like the one in this YouTube clip played out all aver the Metroplex:

Rangers manager Ron Washington came up with the best slogan since Yogi Berra’s “It Ain’t Over ’til It’s Over.”

“That’s the way baseball go.”

Beautiful.

But if you’ll notice, the above video clip (and other online sites) are shortening the phrase to “That’s how baseball go.”

We’ll see which version lasts through the ages.

I’m thinking “That’s how baseball go” wins out because it’s more succinct.

Oh well, everyone credits Humphrey Bogart with saying, “Play it again, Sam.” What he actually said was, “If she can stand it, I can. Play it.”

The shorter version is obviously better.

Let’s give the last word to Berra, who once famously said (or did he?): “I didn’t say everything I said.”
