This will be your last weekend to catch shows by two top Fort Worth theater companies before the productions close. Interestingly, they both deal with the craziness of contemporary education, though from very different angles. Circle Theatre’s Bright Ideas – written by Eric Coble – is a pitch black comedy that loosely takes the plot of Macbeth and applies it to two helicopter parents trying to secure a space in a prestigious pre-school for their child. Final performance is Saturday night (Nov 20) at 8pm. Amphibian Productions’ No Child… – written by Nilaja Sun – is a one-woman show in which actress Rihanna Mack plays a drama teacher at a Bronx high school struggling to direct a show with a group of troubled teens. She also plays some of the teens, the janitor, school administrators, and others. Final performance is Sunday afternoon (Nov 21) at 2pm.
