Will Bin Laden Inspired Laws Die?

The Libertarian Party seldom minces words, and party chairman Mark Hinkle got right to the point in today’s statement about the death of Osama bin Laden.

“I am glad to hear of the death of Osama bin Laden, who had no qualms about slaughtering American civilians,” he said. “Unfortunately, bin Laden leaves behind an evil legacy in the United States: the Department of Homeland Security, the TSA, the PATRIOT Act, warrantless wiretaps, the ‘state secrets’ doctrine, and other violations of Americans’ civil and economic rights.

“Just like Osama bin Laden, these programs must be terminated.”

Here’s another example of the pain bin Laden has caused everybody: We have to watch this self-pitying YouTube performance by former Miss USA Susie Castillo, who got freaked out about a body search at D/FW International Airport. (Castillo calls it “Dallas Airport.”) If you can get past her whining and sniveling, however, she actually makes some good points.
