“Diez y Seis” at Rose Marine

Okay, kids, once and for all – Cinco de Mayo, the annual May 5 holiday celebrated by Mexican Americans and non-Mexican Americans alike, is not Mexican Independence Day. That holiday falls today, September 16, and although some historians even quibble with this date, who cares? The party is on!

Rose Marine Theater presents their Diez y Seis celebration 7pm tonight at the theater (1440 M Main St, FW). It’s a free, family-friendly, bilingual event featuring food, face-painting, children’s bingo, a local artist’s market, and performances by Ballet Folklorico and Mariachi de Oro.
