George Carlin did a very famous routine about all the crap we collect over a lifetime. He summed it up this way: “The meaning of life is trying to find a place for your stuff.” If you’re interested in unloading some of your stuff, or acquiring more stuff, then the 1919 Hemphill Spring Swap Meet is calling. All day tomorrow (Sat Mar 31), tables will be set up for people to display and trade books; music (vinyl, CDs, cassettes, eight-tracks); movies (DVDs, VHS); comics; arts and crafts; clothes; plants; music equipment; bike and skateboard accessories, and on and on. The 1919 guys say “All tastes are welcome,” but c’mon, people, leave the crappiest crap behind and bring the cooler items to help assure quality swaps.
