2011’S “WITTENBERG” WAS JUST ONE EXCELLENT RECENT SHOW BY AMPHIBIAN PRODUCTIONS.

There are a lot of terrific Tarrant County performing arts organizations that need your support. But over the past few years, Amphibian Productions has truly distinguished itself with a series of knock-your-socks off comedies and dramas by important contemporary playwrights that are often state or regional premieres. Additionally, The ‘Phibs have established a small but vital connection between the New York and North Texas theater scenes that allows actors, directors, and designers to travel between the cities for work. Their presence makes Fort Worth an even cooler city than it already was.

The company recently announced it needs to raise $284,857 more to complete its capital campaign and nab a permanent theater space at 108 South Main St in the Near Southside neighborhood. Whether you’re a regular arts patron who supports the city’s big institutions; an occasional theatergoer who wants to help make the cultural life here richer; or a total dilettante/scenester who just wants to get behind something hip, consider sending a little cash in the ‘Phibs’ direction. They deserve a home.
