Actor and director Andy Baldwin (pictured left with Lee Jamison) has been a frequent presence on North Texas stages over the last few years. Besides directing a stellar production of Charles Busch’s The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife at Theatre Arlington last month, Baldwin the performer has specialized in physically challenging character roles in a host of door-slamming farces. He’ll conduct a special one-night-only master class at Stage West called “Acting 101 With Andy Baldwin” Tue Mar 12 at 6:30pm. Cost is $20; pre-registration is required. Open to both amateurs and professionals, the class will cover the basics of creating character detail through external choices in movement, voice, and physical interaction. If Baldwin the teacher is anything like Baldwin the actor, it should be a smart, lively, entertaining evening.
