Fall Gallery Night is always so much fun that we decided to get involved directly this year. Fort Worth Weekly is partnering with Absolut Vodka to put on the Absolut Art House Event, a pop-up exhibit that pays tribute to the Swedish spirit manufacturer’s long history with the art world. Over the years, the company has commissioned the likes of Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, and Damien Hirst to design ad campaigns and more. Absolut Art House will feature a collection of 4-foot 3D bottles by artists from all over Texas, including Fort Worth’s David Yubeta and Todd Bot. The work of North Texas’ Brad Jensen, who was commissioned to design a bottle commemorating Warhol’s from the 1980s, will also be on display. Some original Warhol bottles can be seen as well, along with Cruz Ortiz’ Absolut Texas bottle that was part of the company’s series paying tribute to all 50 states. (The Texas vodka was flavored with cucumbers and serrano chiles.)

Lest you think this is totally shilling for the world’s third-largest alcohol bottler, an auction of Absolut-inspired art pieces will be held, with proceeds benefiting the Emergency Artists’ Support League, a North Texas nonprofit for artists facing hardships.
