If you don’t like seeing a trashy Trinity River, now’s you’re chance to do something besides complain about litterbugs.

Everyone is invited to help clean up up river this Saturday at the 24th Annual Tarrant Regional Water District Trinity Trash Bash.

All work, no play? No way.

Trash Bash volunteers will be treated to an after party at Panther Island Pavilion and Cobb Park which will include free food, bounce houses and entertainment. Volunteers  can pick up their supplies on Thursday and Friday of this week at the Trinity River Vision Authority offices downtown (307 W 7th St. Suite 100) to be prepared for Saturday.

More than 95 tons of trash have been collected in previous years. Why not make it an even 100 tons?

If you’d like to help keep the river clean year-round, an Adopt-A-River program allows people and organizations to adopt a section of the Trinity. Contact Bianka Rodriguez for more information.
