Poor St. Louis Cardinals fans. They’re in misery after watching the Texas Rangers pull off a come-from-behind miracle in Game 2 last night.

St. Louis Post-Dispatch sportswriter Bryan Burwell’s version of events says it “felt like someone opened a trap door beneath Busch Stadium and a million red-clad hearts went tumbling into a dark hole.”

Boo-freaking- hoo. Cardinals fans can stick their red-clad hearts into their own dark holes.

The Cardinals have won 10 World Series championships — the second most of any team in baseball.

Meanwhile, the Texas Rangers have turned disappointment into an art form since arriving in Arlington in 1972.  Even our first-ever great season in 2010 ended in defeat.

So spare us your tears Cardinals fans.

Now let’s eat.
