by Kristian Lin

Here’s a TV tip: Tune into KERA tonight at 9:30 for A Sense of Place, Logan Gilpin and Michael Rodriguez’ documentary about the history of the Rose Marine Theater. The program contains fascinating bits like how the venue got its name, and an early marketing effort in which the theater placed its advertising on the insides of bottle caps on milk bottles. We tend to take familiar places for granted; for Fort Worthers who don’t know the history behind the Rose Marine, this program will make them see the place in a new light.
