North Texas thespians, hone your methods over the holidays: Circle Theatre, one of the Fort’s most reliable purveyors of challenging professional theater, will hold auditions for their upcoming February show, Michael Hollinger’s “Opus,” at 2pm January 3 and 7pm January 4.
“Opus” is a psychological drama about the artistic and sexual politics inside an acclaimed classical string quartet that abruptly loses one of its members. Non-Equity as well as Equity actors may audition. Circle is looking to cast four male actors in their 40s and one female actor in her mid-20s. You will be asked to deliver cold readings from the script, so please familiarize yourself with Hollinger’s play beforehand. Optionally, you may also present a one-minute prepared monologue from a contemporary play. (Monologues and sides are posted on the Callboard at Circle’s website).
Appointments are required. Call 817-877-3040.
