Best Western Cultural Event Women's National Finals Rodeo Cowtown Coliseum
You can watch the guys ride broncs, bulldog steers, and put bowties on calf legs many times a year in many arenas in North Texas, but if you want to see the women who are the best in the country -- maybe in the world -- at bronc-busting, bullriding, and calf-roping, mark your calendars now: the Original Coors Women's National Finals Rodeo hits the dirt of the Cowtown Coliseum again November 2-4. The women are gaining in sponsorship, television time, and prize money, but, unlike some of the men, these women are never going to get rich -- or probably even be able to quit their day jobs -- in return for putting their lives and limbs on the line. Tickets are still a bargain, but the crowds have been getting bigger every year.
