Ummmm, good. Yes. At this location of the three La Playa's in FW, the seafood that is their specialty is consistently first rate, the décor sparkles, and diners are treated royally, with two waitresses hovering at a discreet distance to take care of one's every need. This La Playa more than satisfies if one longs for white fish, one of this restaurant's specialties. One can get it pan fried and covered in a semi-hot, tomato-heavy Mexican sauce (that's what the menu calls it); pan fried and dribbled over by a sheen of buttery-garlic; or raw, "cooked" in lime juice, chunked and mixed with finely diced onions, tomatoes, hot peppers, and cilantro, served with generous slices of avocado and extra lime. Shrimp lovers can get the little pink darlings spread-eagled and fried, grilled with bell peppers, in cocktails alone or with raw octopus. Oysters come on the half-shell or fried; the stuffed crabs are spicy and every fish on the menu can be found separately or together in one of the many soups offered. Prices range from $3.45 for a cup o' soup to $12.95 for a seafood medley of just about everything.
