The phrase "cocktail lounge" conjures up images of some bygone era when sipping spirits was a delightfully refined way to fill one's leisure time. The faded but still vibrant glory of C&C's perfectly captures that ideal. With faux wood paneling, a massive rectangular bar topped with orange Formica, and more Budweiser memorabilia than you can shake a tiny umbrella at, C&C's certainly lives up to the "lounge" part of the moniker. The reasonably priced drinks are served in delicate vessels that do justice to the "cocktail" label. And the regulars are always game for some scintillating conversation or a rousing round of shuffleboard on either of two tables flanking the bar. The sum of all these parts is a warm, fuzzy feeling, inside and out.
