Best Politician Most Likely to Sell Grandma to the Highest Bidder
Art Brender, chairman, Tarrant County Democratic Party

Sure, Art's always been one of the good 'uns, taking up for the little guy, fighting for women (he made the city pay $1.2 mil for letting B. Don Magness talk dirty to his female staff for 30 years). But Art's head of the near-death local Demos and he's willing to do anything to win a big one. That's why he's wearing a "Tony Sanchez for Governor" t-shirt, planting wet kisses all over the multi-millionaire oilman from Laredo and Democrat-when-it-suits-him 'cause now Sanchez wants to be the party's nominee to challenge Perry-the-pretty. Never mind that Sanchez gave $100,000 to help His Emptiness beat Ann Richards and Al Gore, two of Brender's darlin's, or that Brender gave no quarter in his own past campaigns to Democrats who voted for Republicans. The times they are a-changin'. How much, Mr. Sanchez, for a good, used grandma who brays like a jackass? Comes with a cane.

Readers' Choice: George W. Bush
