What could be better than the beginning of the end of construction on downtown's southern edge? In coming months, when the old I-30 overhead is demolished, the lovely art-deco T&P passenger terminal and the old post office are again a visual part of downtown, Lancaster Avenue will be redeveloped from a freeway frontage road into a tree-lined boulevard, and a new transit hub will bring new people and life to this historic part of the center city.
