Now that Fort Worth's gay and lesbian film festival runs for a week, the well-organized downtown event is a venue for movie fans to get an advance look at upcoming gay-themed movies, but it's also a terrific place for unattached gay men and lesbians to hook up. Granted, it takes some doing to find the singles amid all the couples, but they're definitely there. Watching the size and enthusiasm of this audience, one couldn't help feeling that some Tarrant County entrepreneur could make a killing opening a specialty video store catering to gay customers.
