Best Place to Take a First Date
Kimbell Art Museum
3333 Camp Bowie Blvd, FW

There is no better place to begin an introduction between two swooning would-be lovers than at a house of art. The Kimbell is a non-intimidating public place, mostly free of charge in the heart of the cultural district. An impressive permanent collection that ranges from antiquity to the 20th century, Greek to Picasso, coupled with always impressive special exhibits, promises to satisfy even the most artsy-fartsy of tastes. And what could be more romantic than intimate discussions whispered between heads bent near? Since the Kimbell closes in the early evening, an afternoon visit is the perfect, passionate hors d'oeuvres (like raw oysters), setting the mood for an evening of infinite possibilities.

Readers' Choice: Sundance Square, FW
