Number 13 doesn't put up the gaudy statistics that Michael Finley or Dirk Nowitzki do, but when he missed some games with an injury late this past season, the team felt the pain. The soft-spoken Canadian isn't just the guy who brings the ball up but is an essential part of the Mavericks' offensive scheme. With John Stockton and Gary Payton on the downslope of their careers, Nash merits consideration as one of the NBA's elite point guards, alongside Jason Kidd and Stephon Marbury. Maybe another winning season and continued good health will get that done.
