The guys behind the new-ish Fort Worth record label Blue Boot Records have a potential hit on their hands. Texas Music singer-songwriter Brad Hines’ “Hooked on the Bottle” (penned by Weekly writer Jeff Prince) continues climbing the Texas Music charts. The song debuted a couple of weeks ago at No. 48 and is now No. 26, past tunes by the likes of Charlie Robison, Bruce Robison, and Jack Ingram, among other Texas Music big timers. The song is the first single off Hines’ most recent album, Brand New Day.

Hines was Blue Boot’s first artist, and he’s now joined on the label by two Austin-based acts: The Mystiqueros and Bill Small.
