A little help from friends is on the way for The Apache 5, the mid-’60s-ish pop-rock Fort Worth quartet whose Southside rehearsal space was recently broken into by thieves and promptly emptied. In addition to a ton of gear, including property belonging to non-Apache 5 musician Steve Steward (EPIC RUINS, Vorvon, Megasaurus), dozens of copies of the 5’s sparkling debut EP, Big Black Smoke, were also lifted.

In gestures of goodwill, half of all proceeds from the sale of the brand new, eponymous album by Fort Worth space-rockers Phantom Caste will be donated to The Apache 5 through the end of the week, and 10 percent of all sales Thu-Sat at The Moon (2911 W Berry St, by TCU) will go toward the afflicted band.

“These are our best friends and some of Fort Worth’s most talented musicians,” writes Moon owner Chris Maunder on FB. “We feel their pain and would like to do a little something to help them on their way to recouping what was lost. We hope that you’ll find some time one of these nights to drop by and buy a drink. Every dollar of sales helps.”

Based on the cock-rocking quality and high pedigree of the bands slated to play (and spin) at The Moon this weekend, there’ll be a lot of sales.

Thursday is ’80s Night, helmed by DJ Jordan Kline, with guest appearances by DJ Cosgrove and DJ Son of Stan (the nom de disque of drummer/songwriter Jordan Richardson of EPIC RUINS and Ben Harper & The Relentless7). No cover, single wells are $2, and double wells are $3.50.

On Friday, the stage will belong to Stella Rose, The Phuss, The Virgin Wolves, and The Blackout Heist. Cover is $7. Sweet Tea shots are $3.50.

On Saturday, Whiskey Folk Ramblers, My Wooden Leg, and Spooky Folk will perform. Cover is $7. SoCo-and-lime shots are $3.50.
