You’d think the Salem witch trials might have taught us something.

Instead, the comments sections on online news reports and videos are filled with people who are enraged by the not guilty verdict given to Casey Anthony.

“Casey, God’s wrath will find you in the long run! There is no place you can hide, you will wake up in Hell one day,” is one of the nicer comments.

Most people were convinced she was guilty before the trial began. How can someone catch a few news reports on a murder and decide a woman they’ve never met is guilty and deserves to be executed before a trial has been held?

Most disgusting was that venom-spewing hack of an attorney, the disgraceful Nancy Grace, who practically passed out pitchforks, nooses, and torches during her televised rants throughout the trial.

NANCY GRACENANCY GRACE, WHO HAS NONE.

  1. And OJ didn’t kill Ron Goldman and Nicole. Long story short: People are justifiably outraged that a person can kill her 2-year-old daughter and get off, basically, scot free while other people have to rot in jail for much less offenses. And, yes, the entire trial was televised, which means a lot of people saw exactly what the jurors saw. You, as an upstanding American citizen, should be upset at the verdict too. You are right in one respect, though: Nancy Grace is an annoying asshole. Wow, is she annoying.

  2. If ever I am charged with anything, please let me have a jury trial because Americans are STUPID! Poor little girl rotting in a trunk and it’s no one’s fault? COME ON!

  3. I’M OUTRAGED THAT THIS WOMEN GETS OFF SCOTT FREE FOR THE MURDER OF HER DAUGHTER AND THE JUSTICE SYTEM AS WELL AS OUR SO CALLED PEERS ARE FALLING O APART WHEN THEY CARE MORE OF SOCIAL STANDINGS AND RACE. LOOK AT ALL THE OTHER CASES INVOVLING WOMEN KILLING THIER KIDS. WHICH RACE DO U SEE IN PRISON MORE

  4. This is such a dysfunctional family that putting all the blame on Casey and then letting the rest of the family off the hook would have been equally disgusting! At least all the families out there watching this trial who have “dirty little secrets” cannot gain any comfort from the outcome of this trial. If you create an environment of abuse around your child and he or she in turn becomes dysfunctional and winds up commiting some crime, you cannot put on a show like the Anthonys did and expect rational people (unlike Nancy Grace and her viewers) to believe somehow that your child became this way in a vacuum and you are somehow above your child, irreproachable and inculpable. Bad parenting certainly isn’t a crime. However, if the parenting is so dysfunctional and so abusive that a crime results from it, justice can’t be served by only punishing the immediately visible consequence of such deeply rooted dysfunction–in this case Casey. Let’s for a second assume that the state had won this case. How could you genuinely have considered that to be justice considering the totality of the family’s behaviors and actions in this case? The media would have continued to elevate the family as the honorable and unsuspecting victims of the monster that is their own child. I do not claim to know the details of what happened in this family, but I doubt that any child that is the product of a healthy, nurturing enviroment and has acquired healthy values, is capable of suddenly turning into a monster –killing her own daughter and then throwing her away like trash.

  5. this should have been an easy case for the prosecutor but he blew it. if he couldnt’ convince a jury that this mom was guilty then he should be fired. he got beaten by casey anthony’s loser of a lawyer who couldn’t beat a speeding ticket but somehow won a murder case.

  6. HOPEFULLY SHE WILL GET HERS. SHE’S A SELFISH WHORE WHO GOT AWAY WITH MURDER AND WHO ONLY CRIES FOR HERSELF. I ALSO HOPE THE JURORS HAVE NIGHTMARES FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES FOR WHAT THEY HAVE DONE.

  7. First off, say all the facts – it was Reye’s third strike (two robberies prior). And second, the entire world has the write to be upset at the complete injustice served by the obviously idiotic jury. The fact that this murderer is going to get millions of dollars for photos, books, movies…makes me sick. Kill your baby and get the “beautiful life” for sure. She should be shot.

  8. Of course if she was a physician or conservative or other class demonized by the media, she would have been executed by now. Juries are not only stupid, they are nasty media b*tt kissers. Cases in point: OJ, Phil Spector, (any case with undue media coverage, the juries forget to do their jobs.)

  9. I like this article! I was thinking the same thing with regards to witch trials and Nancy Grace. Of course, people don’t care that they might be a part of the mob mentality – they just think they’re right because they saw the evidence and they’re somehow infallible in their perspective. Well, I too saw the case that was presented and thankfully we have the ability to avoid sending people to jail based on circumstantial evidence. Here’s an example where 5 kids spent 12 years of their life in jail for a crime they didn’t commit!! Everyone “knew” they were guilty, even Donald Trump took out full page ads and billboards saying we should put them to death… THEY WERE INNOCENT!!

  10. There was no proof she committed murder. You can’t convict someone if there is no proof. It would be a greater travesty if she had been convicted in the absence of proof. Is she lying about things? Yeah! They convicted her of that. Why? Because there was proof. Are they a messed up dysfunctional family? Yep. How do I do? I witnessed it. Did she kill her child? Can’t say, there is no proof.

  11. I don’t believe that the jury and people that support the verdict feel that Cassie is innocent. The problem was 1st degree or nothing. How can anyone say without a doubt that she premeditated, etc this murder? If the jury would have been offered more than 1st degree, I believe that she would have been convicted of a 2nd degree negligent homicide. She would have been in jail 30 yrs. I think the prosecution was over zealous and she gets to walk.
