This unique event will include footage and re-creations of the institution’s best productions, ranging from Antony and Cleopatra to Guys and Dolls to Angels in America. Where better for a tribute to Charles Dickens than at the Fort Worth Central Library? Their annual Dickens of a Holiday goes on all afternoon and features Yuletide entertainment in keeping with the 19th-century novelist’s time, including carriage rides, door prizes, storytelling, and the Dallas Puppet Theatre performing its version of A Christmas Carol. For once, A Tuna Christmas isn’t playing this year at Bass Hall or at Casa Mañana. No, instead Joe Sears and Jaston Williams’ two-hander takes the stage at Theatre Arlington, so our friends to the east can more easily get to it and see how Texas’ third-smallest town celebrates the holidays. Voices of Fort Worth livens up this Monday evening by singing holiday carols. The choral ensemble will give two concerts, the first on Sunday night at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church.
