Adjust your schedule for an event tomorrow night (October 23) that will be fun and important: The AIDS Outreach Center of Greater Tarrant County presents its 15th Annual ”Artists Against AIDS” Art Auction 7-10pm at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center. Scheduled activities and events, in no particular order: Shmoozing, wine, looking at cool art work in a variety of media, wine, chatting with local artists and other hip people, raffle, wine, etc. AIDS and HIV are not much in the news these days, so it’s important to support the services that the Outreach Center provides to Tarrant County residents – especially at a time when city, state, and federal government are pondering desperate budget cuts.

Honorary co-chairs are state senator Wendy Davis and councilmember Joel Burns. The burning questions are: If Burns attends, will he have an entourage? Will he refer to his constituents as “my little monsters?” Will he be interrupted by cell calls from Ellen and Matt wanting to know if he can hang out? Guess you’ll have to attend – and donate – to find out.
