There’s not a whole lot going on the day before Thanksgiving, but there will be some action on the ice. The fledgling Lone Star Brahmas, currently mired in last place in the NAHL’s South Division, look to make up some ground when they play the Wichita Falls Wildcats, who are contending for a playoff spot. The puck drops at 7:30pm at NYTEX Sports Centre, 8851 Ice House Dr, North Richland Hills. Tickets are $8-22. Call 817-336-4423.

Last Thanksgiving, the Dallas Cowboys hosted a long-irrelevant team (Washington) whose scrambling quarterback had suddenly made them fun to watch. This year, history repeats itself when the Oakland Raiders and Terrelle Pryor come over for the holidays. The Cowboys have taken a beating from AFC West opponents this season, so this is a last chance to get one over on them. The game kicks off at 3:30pm at AT&T Stadium, 1 Legends Way, Arlington. Tickets are $75-500. Call 800-745-3000.

FRI ▪ 29

Today may be Black Friday, but instead of getting trampled at a retail outlet, why not enjoy a festive parade. The annual Parade of Lights includes a fitness walk, live entertainment, and kids’ activities and will take advantage of the construction projects that have finally put the (beautiful) square in Sundance Square. The parade is 2-10pm in downtown Fort Worth. Admission is free, special seating is $9.50. Call 817-336-2787.

If you’re not into the whole Christmas and Hanukkah barrage that we’re about to get, perhaps Buddhism is more your speed. If so (or if you’re simply interested in religious history), head over to the Loving Kindness Tour, which features sacred relics from the Buddha and his disciples furnished by the Dalai Lama. They will be on display Fri-Sun at Unity Fort Worth, 5051 Trail Lake Dr, FW. Admission is free. 817-423-2965.

Racing season is over, but there’s still reason to head out to Texas Motor Speedway. This year’s version of TMS’ holiday light show, Gift of Lights and Snow, features an outdoor tubing hill, snow castles, and a snowball gallery. The kids will love this. The show runs thru Jan 5 at 3545 Lone Star Cir, FW. Admission is $15-20. Call 800-788-9627.

We’re not sure what an aviation museum is doing showing photographs, but we’ll take an art show anywhere. C.R. Smith Museum’s exhibit Colorama showcases the 18-by-60-foot color photographs that adorned the walls of New York’s Grand Central Station between 1950 and 1990. The show runs thru Jan 4 at 4601 Hwy 360, FW. Admission is $4-7. Call 817-967-1560.
