Fort Works Art (2100 Montgomery St, Fort Worth, 817-759-9475) is turning its Cultural District gallery into a runway for one night, staging a fashion and art experience called The Marilyn Effect alongside an exhibition of Marilyn Monroe photographs by Lawrence Schiller. The event pairs Schiller’s historic images with looks from Western-wear maker M.L. Leddy’s and luxury retailer Forty Five Ten, plus styling from Fort Worth silk brand Wild Silks. Tickets start at $250.

Congratulations to three artists you may know from Artspace111 (111 Hampton St, Fort Worth, 817-692-3228) who were selected to exhibit at Texas Vignette’s annual Art Fair: Janet Chaffee, Martha Peters, and Carroll Swenson-Roberts. Texas Vignette is a nonprofit dedicated to promoting, supporting, and connecting women in the arts across the state.
