A show to benefit the family of The Great Tyrant bassist Tommy Atkins will be held at Lola’s Saloon-Sixth (2736 W. 6th St. in the West 7th Street corridor, 817-966-0666) on Fri., May 7, and will feature three stellar Fort Worth bands: veteran metalists and former Wreck Room house-packers Garuda, New Wavers The Transistor Tramps, and the bar-rocking Skitz and the Beautiful Trainwreck. The show is entitled In Memory: Tommy Atkins (Yeti, The Great Tyrant), Cadillac Fraf (Mockingbird Cartel), Merk Crandle (Magnus), and Doug Ferguson (Yeti) and is dedicated to “all of those in the Fort Worth music scene we have known and lost,” according to the show’s Facebook page.
