Something jumped out at me as I was driving down Jacksboro Highway this morning — Jim Lane’s backyard billboard looks different than it did when I blogged about it last week.

Here’s how it looked last week:

And here’s how it looked this morning (notice that the ugly screen is gone and the weeds appear to be cut back):

I can’t say for sure that Blotch inspired the sprucing up. I left a message at Lane’s office for a different reason this morning, and when he calls me back I’ll ask him.

Blotch has prompted changes occasionally since it debuted in 2009 as Fort Worth Weekly‘s blog site. Here’s a recent example.

A rusty, cruddy…not to mention Butt ugly sign in a western font! Really gives me goose bumpts thinking this guy wants to be mayor of Fort Worth. Incidentally, if the sign is on residentally zoned property it is illegal.

Hey Jeff, Tish’s daughter had to use the word blotch in a sentence at school so she wrote “That girl is a real blotch.” haha

She should have written, “The blog site I most enjoy reading is Blotch — and that girl is a real bitch!”
