A fifth day of paralyzed airports in Europe prompted the director of an airport operators association to compare the economic fallout to that of 9/11.

Mother Nature didn’t stop there. She rained out Texas Motor Speedway races over the weekend, forcing TMS prez Eddie Gossage to reschedule the races for today.

Additional labor expenses will cost the track $15,000 an hour to keep the gates open throughout the day, Gossage said.
