This week’s “Screen” page features an interview with North Texas film and TV actor Arianne Martin. She has worked with a bunch of the area’s indie filmmakers, including her husband Justin Hilliard (The Other Side of Paradise), Tony Brownrigg (Red Victoria), Clay Liford (Wuss), Carolyn Macartney (Wanda the Wonderful), and Ryan Harper Grayl on the upcoming This Is Not a Love Story. Her resume will get a high profile entry with Drive Angry 3D, in which she plays crazy, gun-wielding Nicolas Cage’s crazy, cult-joining daughter.
Here’s the trailer for Drive Angry 3D, which opens February 25. (Martin is the one clutching the baby in the black and white sequence). And here’s the trailer for 2008’s cult horror opus Red Victoria, in which Martin plays a flirtatious, homicidal zombie who inspires a screenwriter. 2009’s The Other Side of Paradise got good notices from The Hollywood Reporter and The New York Post.
