With the recent allegation that avuncular Earth-saver Al Gore is “a crazed sex poodle,” it should come as no surprise that your garden-variety, overachieving “helicopter parent” also carries a raging sex beast inside. That’s the premise of Amphibian Stage Productions’ current show The First Day of School, and while the premise runs a little thin, the actors are exhuberant and clearly know their way around a cucumber and a riding crop.
