Things are looking up for Telegraph Canyon.

Fort Worth folk-rockers Telegraph Canyon are in the process of positioning themselves for the Big Time, as well they should –– they’re excellent. The band recently hired multi-instrumentalist Brian McCorquodale from dearly departed Black Tie Dynasty and also has taken on a manager, Spune Productions Lance Yocom, who manages North Texas indie-singer-songwriters Doug Burr and Glen Farris and books shows at Lola’s Saloon-Sixth, Lola’s Saloon-Stockyards, Longhorn Saloon, The Cavern (Dallas), Hailey’s (Denton), and Central Market, among other places. The album, which will be released by the West Coast indie label Velvet Blue Music (Richard Swift, Starflyer 59), marks Centro-matic frontman Will Johnson’s entree into production and is available for streaming now. Until the official CD release party on Fri., Oct. 2, at Lola’s-Sixth, the band will be playing a slew of dates throughout North Texas and the West Coast, including a Fri., Aug. 21, date opening for the Old 97’s at Bass Performance Hall in Sundance Square.
