The Arts Council of Fort Worth and Tarrant County is seeking guerilla artists to help generate buzz for www.worthgoing.com, an online calendar that the arts council will launch in September. Anyone with any ideas (flash mobs, site-specific installations) is encouraged to submit a proposal to the arts council by 5 p.m. Monday (Aug. 2). All pieces of guerilla art must incorporate the online calendar’s url, cannot be destructive, cannot be illegal, and must be filmed. The date, time, and location of specific “art attacks,” to use the arts council’s term, will be determined by an arts council committee. The first art attacks will begin appearing around town on August 21. Grants of up to $250 per art attack will be awarded. For more information, e-mail email@example.com.
