There’s been a lot of carping and general negativity about That Thing That Happened in Arlington Last Sunday. Much of the complaining has been warranted. However, I’d like to relay some good news – a press release from the Sundance Square organization of businesses declares that February 5 was the entertainment district’s highest sales day in its history. Pedestrian foot traffic was two and three times its normal count on some days leading up to the event. Who knows? Maybe Prince would’ve actually made it to North Texas if they’d skedded his benefit show in downtown Fort Worth.
