There wasn’t room to include this bit of news in my Night & Day column this week, but there are a couple of movie events going on today in North Texas. Dallas’ Texas Theatre is showing Restrepo by the late Tim Hetherington, who was originally scheduled to be in Dallas along with the film. Worthy as that is, Fort Worthers may well be more interested in recent Weekly profile subject David Patrick Lowery will be at the Modern this week to take your questions after a screening of his movie St. Nick, which was filmed in Fort Worth and recently enjoyed an official theatrical run in New York. Perhaps we’ll get an update on the fortunes of his most recent feature, Pioneer, as well. It all seems worth braving this stormy weather for.
