Over the years I’ve gotten to know KHYI 95.3 “The Range” disc jockey Brett Dillon by serving as a judge at the annual Texas Music Showdown at White Elephant Saloon.
Dillon is an interesting cat, and full of life and positivity even thought he almost never sleeps. I’d be cranky as hell if I kept his lifestyle.
He’s on the air from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and he’s out every night of the week emceeing shows and battle of the band contests and various other bits of nightlife revelry. And let’s just say he’s not drinking Snapple when he’s out in the clubs.
Even though he’s already impressed me with his cheer and energy (and hollow leg) there’s a lot more to learn about the guy.
Hey Dillon: The Last Great DJ will be shown at 1 a.m. on Thursday on the Documentary Channel, which means you’ll have to set your Tivo tonight before you go to bed (unless you’re out running around like Dillon, in which case you’ll have to hurry home before closing time to see it).
