School’s Out

Fort Worth school district students are off for summer as of yesterday. If musical theater has taught us anything, high school-aged kids are currently performing well-choreographed songs about how great summer is going to be.

Last Day Prank

Two schools in the district were on lockdown yesterday because of pranks, though the district was tight-lipped about what those pranks were and how many frogs it took the fill that gym.

The Game that Never Ended

Texas Christian University advanced to the college world series last night. They beat Texas A&M in a game that went 16 innings. True story: I fell asleep with two outs in TCU’s half of the 16th inning at 1 a.m., and when I woke up an infomercial was showing me how to tone my abs in just 15 minutes a day.

Police Lookout

Police are on the lookout for a robber who carjacked a guy and forced him to withdraw money from an ATM near a 7-11. If you see a man carrying his weight in Big Bite hot dogs, contact the authorities.

A Touch of Kindness

A couple who had recently lost their two-month-old daughter got an unexpected surprise when a waitress at West Side Café wrote them a nice note and took care of the couple’s lunch. The story has gone viral, with more than 1,000 shares.
