Donald Trump got spanked.

That’s it. That’s the story.

With Dems winning all up and down the ballot, there’s no easier point of blame than the guy with the stranglehold on the Republican party.

Locally, the biggest spanking was to Bo French.

The sexist, racist, bigoted Tarrant County Republican lost to D Jon Rosenthal in the statewide race for railroad commissioner. How Bo-zo even made it out of his primary means there’s lots of work to do across the country to transform haters into participators.

Starting at the top, my address to national Dem leadership is accountability, not revenge. There is a difference. When now-former House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries says the American people don’t want “retribution,” first of all, he’s not speaking for us — that do-nothing and his equally lax letter-writing handler, now-former Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, did absolutely nothing to presage the blue wave that we all experienced last night. Hakeem and Chuck need to go — now — but until then, accountability is paramount. Breaking the law like Noem and Russell Vought and Bovino and “Kegsbreth” and Elon Musk and Trump have demands consequences. Trust me now when I say that if there’s no swift accountability, I will stay home on Election Days until further notice. And I know millions of others will join me. Chuck and Hakeem need to grow spines — pronto — or step down.

Back to Texas, we have a new governor. State Rep. Gina Hinojosa defeated three-term incumbent Greg Abbott, which is a win on the issues all around but especially for public education. Hinojosa’s first order of business, she has said, is firing TEA head Mike Morath. A great start. Get the Christian Sharia law out of classrooms and let real learning begin with doubled protections for special-needs students like my dear freshman son.

Elsewhere, Vikki Goodwin downed school marm Dan Patrick to become the first Democratic lieutenant governor in 27 years, and we all know that Sweet Baby James defeated “Corrupt” Ken Paxton for U.S. Senate.

Ted “Cancun” Cruz, you’re next.

In Tarrant County Commissioners Court, Dems ruled, creating a 4-1 majority, while D’s also took over the DA’s office, district clerk, and county clerk.

Good times all around. Glad to say we helped lead the charge here in town without wavering an inch unlike some other unspeakable rags.
