Shows to see this weekend:

Dove Hunter and Ghostcar tomorrow (Saturday) at Lola’s Saloon Stockyards (105 W Exchange Av, 817-386-5008). Tix are $6.

Also tomorrow (Saturday): Rivercrest Yacht Club, Sally Majestic, and Automorrow at Lola’s Saloon Sixth (2736 W 6th St, in the West 7th Street corridor, 817-877-0666). Tix are $6.

Sunday: David Byrne at Majestic Theater (1925 Elm St, Dallas, 214-373-8000). Tix are $45-55.

School of Seven Bells’ “Half Asleep”: Pretty brunette twins, Alejandra and Claudia Deheza, sing a pretty, synth-y song in their own pretty way.

Maps’ “You Don’t Know Her Name”: A tall female android is constructed in a garage as this harrowing yet wispy synth number from Maps spins.

James’ “Whiteboy”: best version I could find online. Audio isn’t bad, relatively speaking, though arguably the song’s unique aspect –– the wiggling trumpet during the chorus –– is a little muddy. Listen closely. James are insane. (“Are” ’cause they’re a band, not just some dude named James.) And great.
