Global warming will continue to trigger increases in catastrophic events from droughts to floods to wildfires that will affect millions of people. But right now, I’m p.o.’ed about getting robbed of another fall weather season. After Labor Day comes and goes, I’m ready to break out the sweaters and hit some Texas-style haunted houses, dammit –– even if the temperature is supposed to top 104 today. The folks at Fort Worth’s internationally renowned Cutting Edge Haunted House (1701 E Lancaster Ave) have come to the rescue: Opening night of autumn scare season at the former meat packing plant is 8-10pm this Sat Sept 8. Individual tix are $25-$30; cash only accepted at the door.
