This press notice just came in from Don Young, the protector of Tandy Hills:

Debbie & Bryan Pierce, founders of the Fort Worth Area Raw Food Network, will be teaching a wild food class at Tandy Hills this Saturday, June 13, from 10 a.m. – Noon. The Meet-up will be focused on natural history and plant ID.

Come join them to learn how to identify local edible plants and feed yourself and your family with food that is nutrient-rich, delicious, and free. Edible wild plants are all around us and make for enjoyment and nourishment if only we know what they are and how to use them.

It will probably be a gas to attend….and if the wild foods weren’t all covered in natural gas here in Fort Worth, the foods would probably be fantastic…..They’ll still be pretty good and any time you can learn about wild foods to eat it’s worth the effort to learn it. So be there or be square.
