Jay Leno is leaving The Tonight Show after tonight’s final broadcast and being replaced by Conan O’Brian, and I couldn’t be happier. O’Brien never fails to make me laugh. Leno, on the other hand, is just one of those people that turns me off. I don’t know why. He is by most accounts a modest, humble, friendly, and funny guy. But for some unexplainable reason I just don’t like the guy and have never been able to watch his show.
There are plenty of people I dislike for obvious reason, blowhards such as Rush Limbaugh, Sean Penn, Perez Hilton, and various politicians, policy makers, columnists, and opinion makers. I know exactly why I dislike those people – I usually disagree with what they’re saying and how they’re saying it.
But some fairly innocuous celebs also get on my nerves. And if somebody negatively affects my sensibilities, I avoid all TV shows, movies, books, or any project in which they are involved.
People such as Whoopi Goldberg, John Mayer, David Caruso, Rosie O’Donnell, Toby Keith, Miley Cyrus, Meg Ryan.
For all I know those people are wonderful human beings, but I don’t like ‘em and I don’t know why. I must be a small person. Why would anybody dislike Meg Ryan?
On the other hand, there are some celebs I like and yet most people I talk to can’t stand them. I’m talking about Rob Schneider, Lindsay Lohan, Howard Stern, Jennifer Lopez, Robin Williams, Danny Bonaduce, and Jim Carrey.
This blog post is so featherweight and pointless I’m beginning to dislike myself.
