I recently wrote about Telegraph Canyon for Paste magazine, an award-winning national pop-culture publication whose online presence features an almost-daily column entitled Best of What’s Next. Last week’s subject was another band with Fort Worth connections: Seattle-based Transient Songs is the duo of Andy Gassaway and Haltom City ex-pat John Frum, who relocated to the Emerald City several years ago. Frum is also the honcho of Indian Casino Records, whose roster startlingly includes several 817 bands, including Barrel Delux, The Me-Thinks, and Eyes Wings and Many Other Things. Transient Songs’ debut disc is Cave Syndrome.

  1. Hey Anthony,

Thanks for mentioning the Paste write up. Also, the HellDamnCrap comp that is loaded with 817 bands is coming soon on Indian Casino Records. Just thought I would give that plug there. Thanks!
