If you could have found a blade of grass on Magnolia Green Park that was not occupied by someone’s rear end or a blanket during last week’s First Friday on the Green, you would have thrown your arms up and collapsed in celebration — the park was packed for performances by Adrian Hulet, Seryn, and Telegraph Canyon. (Yes, we’ll try to have more porta-potties available for the next show, May 13, with The Orbans, Quaker City Night Hawks, and Fate Lions, and, yes, we’ll also look into having more hooch for sale.) In town for the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association’s annual convention (at which Weekly editor Gayle Reaves and I made a presentation earlier in the day), student photog Pete Perreault from Austin Community College was on hand and took the following excellent photos.
