Experienced and aspiring foodies, take note: If you’re looking for a Fort Worth-centric holiday gift that keeps on giving deliciousness, you need to check out Dana’s Soup Book. This cookbook features original, traditional, and somewhere-in-between soup recipes created by Dana Schultes (pictured at left with the late Jerry Russell), co-producing director at Stage West who’s a familiar onstage presence to local theater folk for her acclaimed performances.

For several years Schultes operated the kitchen at the Ol’ Vic Café, Stage West’s in-house eatery at its West Vickery location. (Such is the glamorous life of an award-winning theater diva.) Schultes and her staff have always used organic, locally sourced meats and veggies for their dishes, so many of her suggested ingredients can be found at the Cowtown Farmers Market and other places.
